TechThursday L: Dye Sensitised Solar Cell ☀

Hello everyone!
Do you remember how we measured the efficiency of the dye sensitised solar cells using the Sun Simulator?☀ But did you wonder how they are produced?
In this video you can see how such a dye sensitised solar cell is produced. The solar cell is made by “glueing” two glassplates with a cavity together, where the dye is located on the first glass slide and the electrolyte is added into the cavity. To have conducting parts where the electrodes can be attached, a silver coating is applied to the edges of the chip.
Et Voilà: a simple dye sensitised solar cell can be presented!
